Sam Maurer became a specialist in the ancient art of Scrafito (Romanish word for scratching or engraving) in his native Switzerland.
Scrafito is a sculpturing technique where different layers of colored plasters are applied over each other. The designs is then carved into the partly dried layers to create a unique and striking image. Sam has adopted this technique to create images on concrete floors.
